In my preseason NFL preview I included the over/under seasonal win totals for each team, set by SportsBook.com, and predicted if each win would be over or under. Through eight weeks 12 teams have played eight games and haven’t had their bye week yet. Here is an update and look to see if I’m close to picking the teams win total correctly:
New York Giants (record: 6-2)
My Prediction: Over 9.5 wins
On pace for: 12 wins
Washington Redskins (3-5)
My Prediction: Over 6.5 wins
On pace for: 6 wins
Minnesota Vikings (5-3)
My Prediction: Under 6 wins
On pace for: 10 wins
Green Bay Packers (5-3)
My Prediction: Under 12 wins
On pace for: 10 wins
San Francisco 49ers (6-2)
My Prediction: Over 10 wins
On pace for: 12 wins
Arizona Cardinals (4-4)
My Prediction: Under 6.5 wins
On pace for: 8 wins
Seattle Seahawks (4-4)
My Prediction: Over 7 wins
On pace for: 8 wins
St. Louis Rams (3-5)
My Prediction: Under 6 wins
On pace for: 6 wins
New England Patriots (5-3)
My Prediction: Over 12 wins
On pace for: 10 wins
New York Jets (3-5)
My Prediction: Under 8.5 wins
On pace for: 6 wins
Cleveland Browns (2-6)
My Prediction: Over 5.5 wins
On pace for: 4 wins
Tennessee Titans (3-5)
My prediction: Over 7 wins
One pace for: 6 wins
If these 12 teams had the same first half record as their second half record (won’t happen) then I would be 5-6-1. Check back next week as I will track the progress of the other 20 teams in the NFL.
