Last week I ended up 10-4 and picked nine out of 10 of my three and two star picks correctly. Here are my Thanksgiving Day picks with a short writeup for each pick.
Packers +6.5 over Lions
I can see the Lions winning big here. They just lost two game outright as favorites and the Packers haven’t looked good without Aaron Rodgers. However, nothing is easy for the Lions and they don’t play well on Thanksgiving. Matt Flynn is an upgrade over Scott Tolizen if Flynn starts so this line seems a little inflated. I’m not confident but like the Packers in a one-star pick.
Raiders +9 over Cowboys
The Cowboys just won a hard fought division game on the road coming off a bye. Now they come back home on a short week against an AFC team. This has a close game written all over it. The Raiders aren’t great but still have life in the AFC Wild Card race. The Cowboys have struggled as big home favorites the last few years. I will pick the Raiders and make it a two-star picks
Ravens -3 over Steelers
The Ravens are a different team at home. Revenge will play a factor in this game after the Ravens loss earlier this season in Pittsburgh. The Steelers have played better in their three-game winning streak but don’t think their offense will do well on Thanksgiving night. I like the Ravens in a two-star pick.
Season record
Three-star: 19-24-1
Two-star: 41-28-3
