I took a break for a month picking games on the website after a successful bowl and NFL playoff run. With one week left in the college basketball regular season, I feel like it’s a perfect time to start posting picks here. Conference tournaments and the NCAA tournament is my favorite time of year so I will be sharing my picks for some of those games throughout the month of March. I will also throw in a NBA pick if there is a game I have an opinion on. Here are my two picks for Monday:
Kansas State +9 over Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State is playing well since Marcus Smart returned from his suspension. They beat Kansas on Saturday at home and have a quick turnaround with a home game against Kansas State. The Wildcats also played Saturday beating Iowa State at home. I’m not a big fan on Bruce Weber coached teams, but I think nine points is too much. Oklahoma State might start sluggish after the huge victory against Kansas.
Bulls +3.5 over Nets
I’m going to be very selective with NBA picks, but this one was too good to pass up. The Bulls are playing great baseball right now and have won nine of their last 10 games. Brooklyn returns home after a six game road trip. I like to pick against teams playing their first home game after a long road trip. That reason plus the Bulls as a small underdog is why I like Chicago to win straight up tonight.
