The NFL season starts Thursday with two of the best teams meeting up. The Seahawks (-6) begin their title defense at home against the Packers. This is a rematch of the infamous “Fail Mary” game on a Monday night two years ago. Most of the key Packers players were part of that night, and you can count on them to seek revenge. Aaron Rodgers as a six-point underdog seems like a lot but I think the spread is about right. Seattle has one of the best home field advantages and it’s even better for primetime games. Picking against the Seahawks in a home night game isn’t a good idea. If I had to pick, I would take the Packers against the spread but I would pass on the opener.
